A bit sweet, a bit tart, and all around yummy, this green drink recipe will be a great addition to your juice cleanse routine. It is full of antioxidants and immune boosting nutrients. Follow instructions below for use in a juicer machine. Or if you prefer to use your high powered blender such as Vitamix or Blendtec, just add a cup of filtered water.
Gorgeous Green Drink
2 cucumbers
1 green apple
4 kiwi fruits
2 stalks celery
Prepare produce by cleaning and cutting into sizes that will fit into your juicer. Remember to peel the kiwi fruit and remove the seeds from the apple. Push all through juicer. Pour over ice if desired. Enjoy!

Green Juice Recipe #1
Green juices contain so many good nutrients such as chlorophyll, enzymes, vitamins, minerals and more. Sometimes getting enough green foods into our diet is very difficult, but juicing allows us to mix lots of greens into a tasty meal or snack. There are many great green juice recipes and I've decided to start posting some of them here. No fancy names, just look for green juice recipe. The numbers will correspond with the order I post them in.

1 cucumber
1 cup spinach or lettuce
2 apples
1/2 cup parsley
1 celery rib
Juice all and enjoy.

Basil Refresher Juicer Recipe
This juice recipe is adapted from Gweneth Paltrow's recipe on www.goop.com. I've substituted lemon for the lime as I always have a lemon on hand. Initially I thought the basil might be very strong and perhaps overpowering, but I must say that this drink was very well balanced and tasted very good. This recipe doubles the original one because I found that it only made about 5-6 ounces.
Basil Refresher Juice
3/4-1 cup fresh basil
2 cucumbers
1 lemon (peeled. white pith okay)
2 apples
Wash produce and cut into pieces that fill fit into your juicer. Juice and enjoy.

Cleansing Juice Recipe
Carrot - Beet - Cucumber Juice
3 carrots
1/2 beet root
1 cucumber
small handful parsley (optional)
Wash vegetables. Cut into sizes that will fit through your juicer and juice.
This juice cleanse recipe is a great over-all tonic. The carrots provide beta-carotene and vitamins which are anti-oxidants. The anti-oxidants help against free radical, cancer causing cells. Beet root is especially good for liver and gall bladder health. Cucumbers help to reduce swelling and strengthen connective tissue. Parsley is a diuretic, good for digestion, and can help prevent bad breath.
